I thoroughly enjoy what I do. I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I can remember. I’ve had just about every type of animal at some point throughout my life and always enjoyed the husbandry aspect of animal care. As I became older and more interested and educated in science, this morphed into a love for medicine.
I attended North Carolina State Veterinary School where my focus area was small animal and exotic animal medicine. After graduating, I moved back to Wilmington, NC to practice. I have also practiced in Greensboro, NC and Jacksonville, NC.
I was first introduced to Whole Pet in 2021. Their integrative approach to medicine was interesting to me, as there are many cases that pharmaceuticals fail in managing successfully. The holistic side of medicine is not my specialty, as I am more geared towards critical care and surgery, but I am very grateful to have other veterinarians surrounding me that have more toolboxes available to them for helping our patients.
I reside in Hampstead with my wife Heidi and our 5 children: Ayah, Violet, Fitz, Rey, and Teddy. In my spare time, I enjoy SCUBA diving, playing guitar, and reading. My family and I are active parishioners at All Saint’s Catholic Church in Hampstead, NC.
